Shakshuka originates in the middle east and celebrates several variations depending on where the cook drew his or her inspiration from. Some recipes include beans and potatoes others are stripped down and omit cheese. Some cultures serve this as a breakfast because of the presence of eggs, while others tend to serve it as a hearty dinner stew, sopped up with challah bread!
